A box of 10 disposable menstrual discs typically lasts 1 menstrual cycle, but this can vary depending on your flow intensity and the duration of your period.
On average, you'll use about 2 discs per day. If you have a 5-day period and change your disc every 8 to 12 hours, you'll use approximately 10 discs per cycle. With a lighter flow or shorter periods, one box can cover up to 2 cycles.

Are disposable menstrual discs more eco-friendly than tampons?
Yes, our disposable menstrual discs are better for the planet (and for your health). Unlike tampons, which cannot be recycled and take over 500 years to decompose, our disposable discs are made from TPU, a recyclable and biodegradable plastic. Additionally, one disc can hold the equivalent of 5 regular tampons, which significantly reduces the amount of waste.
Is the disposable disc painful? Will I feel it?
Is the disposable disc painful? Will I feel it?
No, the menstrual disc is considered one of the most comfortable period products available. Many of our customers say they don't feel it at all.
This is normal: it sits at the top of your vagina, an area with few nerve endings, so it's very insensitive.
Thanks to its flexible shape, it adapts perfectly to your anatomy without creating pressure, unlike menstrual cups. Its medical-grade TPU material also doesn't dry out your vagina, making it much more comfortable to use than tampons.
Can I use the disposable menstrual disc multiple times?
Can I use the disposable menstrual disc multiple times?
No, the disposable menstrual disc is designed for single use only. Once removed, it must be thrown away and replaced with a new disc.
Unlike reusable menstrual discs that can be washed and sterilized, disposable discs are made from materials that don't withstand cleaning, sterilization, and therefore reuse. It's strongly recommended to change it after each use. However, the disposable disc can still be rinsed and reused 1 to 2 times maximum, but it's not designed to be sterilized in any way.
Can I have sex with the disposable menstrual disc?
Can I have sex with the disposable menstrual disc?
Yes, absolutely! This is one of the main advantages of menstrual discs. It sits higher in the vagina (in the fornix), leaving enough space for penetrative intercourse. Your partner might feel it slightly, but this generally doesn't cause any discomfort thanks to its flexibility, according to testimonials in our resources.
Is the disposable disc compatible with an IUD?
Is the disposable disc compatible with an IUD?
Yes, disposable menstrual discs are compatible with IUDs. Unlike menstrual cups that create suction, the disc doesn't have this effect and therefore presents fewer risks of IUD expulsion. You just need to ensure the IUD strings are cut short and position the disc properly. More information on this topic can be found in our dedicated article on menstrual disc compatibility with IUDs.
Is the disposable disc dangerous for the body?
Is the disposable disc dangerous for the body?
Like all internal period products, disposable menstrual discs expose you to the risk of toxic shock syndrome. Although this phenomenon is very rare and only about 1% of women can develop this infection, stay vigilant and change your disposable disc every 6 to 8 hours.
To avoid any risk of infection, strictly follow hygiene guidelines: wash your hands thoroughly before and after each disc manipulation.
Unlike reusable discs, disposable discs are for single use and require no sterilization - simply throw away the used disc and use a new one with each change.
Can I auto-dump the disposable menstrual disc?
Can I auto-dump the disposable menstrual disc?
Yes! Auto-dumping works with disposable discs just like with reusable ones. When you go to the bathroom, the natural contraction of the pelvic floor can slightly tilt the disc and partially empty it without removing it. Check out our guide on auto-dumping with menstrual discs to learn more.
Can I swim and exercise with the disposable menstrual disc?
Can I swim and exercise with the disposable menstrual disc?
Yes, you can swim or do any sports activity with a disposable menstrual disc! Whether at the pool, gym, or doing yoga, the disc remains perfectly leak-proof and doesn't move, even when you're active.
Thanks to its position in the vaginal fornix (the upper part of the vagina), the disposable menstrual disc creates a watertight barrier that prevents water from entering and menstrual flow from leaking out. You can therefore fully enjoy all your aquatic and physical activities without risk of leaks.
